Great Divide

Monday, June 9th, 2008

This Friday our Exec Chef, David Blaine leaves for a month to compete in The Great Divide Race, a 2,490 unsupported bike race from Canada to Mexico. Read the rules of this race and marvel. This makes the Ironman look silly. I know, it sounds drastic, crazy, dangerous, challenging, painful and impossible - all of the above. We are in awe. DB has been honing his equipment, researching and training for over a year and will be riding this course on a single speed mountain bike. Seriously. You can find out more about DB’s quest at his own blog site, The Great Divide Project.
Friday night is his last night at the Bistro before he rides North to start the race on June 20th. Stop by and give him your best wishes.
