You know we rotate our menu items on and off the menu often right? Well it’s been at least 8 months since we had duck breast and it is nice to see it back. This delicious fresh pomegranate and wine reduction presentation was created by the Sous, David Thornton and is even more delicious when paired with Barrister’s Cab Franc.

We were fortunate to have the talented Micah Wolf play at the Bistro Sunday night. His Hawaiian sound was fresh and well received by the great crowd that showed up. Thanks Micah.

A couple of new faces at Latah Latte, Lindsey and Nick. We also have quite a few new menu items: ice cream, fresh made sandwiches, power bars, bagels and cream cheese and, of course, delicious espresso drink specials every week. Our new hours are now 5AM - 6PM every day. See you soon.

The first person to comment back with the correct identity of this food item will receive a $10 gift certificate.

This Sunday is a special night for live music at the Bistro. We are honored to present Micah Wolf on the outdoor patio. Micah is from Hawaii and is on tour through the mainland but just happens to have a Grandma here in Spokane. He will be town without his band this Sunday and has offered to play for us. This will be a good show. You can check out his music at Micah Wolf on myspace. See you soon.

Last Tuesday night we had a staff wine tasting which included a knowledge challenge. Trevor did his homework and is seen here receiving his just rewards. Nice job BMac.

We love it when our local farmers bring us their harvest. It is a great time of year. These are some awesome Patty Pan Squash specimens grown by Dan Jackson.

Nick & David (”Schauer with Friends”) played cool jazz last night for an audition and we received great response so we will definitely have them back soon.

Fresh heirloom tomatoes are unsurpassed in flavor. Purple Russians, Yellow Pear, Green Zebra, Giant Rainbow, Black Krill and Cherry are a few of the gems we are currently picking from our front garden at the Bistro for our dishes.
