Thank You

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

A huge thank you to all of our neighbors for donating to the Perez Family in their time in need. We were able to raise over $1,200 on Sunday night to give them some relief during their current difficulties. Big thanks to Great Clips, Foxy Horse & Hound, Elite Tan, Sport Town, Comcast, Cindy Hancock (designer dogs), AmericanWest Bank, Latah Latte, Sean Saugen and Kalliope (live music) and Eagle Ridge Short Course for donating items to our silent auction. It warms my heart to know that we have such a great community.

Menu

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

Since we opened almost 3 years ago, we have been committed to the idea that our menu will continue to change to take advantage of fresh local ingredients. This can be harder than it seems due to a number of factors. One, our kitchen is only so big and can only produce so many menu items before quality suffers. You know, quality beats quantity. Also because our guests can get attached to their favorite dish, it can be difficult to rotate something new on the menu.

We pride ourselves on re-inventing our menu faster than any restaurant in town and still our regulars suggest changes at a faster pace. Rest assured we will stick to our plan and continue to change items on our menu so you will never get bored. Also, we will continue to change the art on the walls, bring in new music artists, set the trends for martinis, search for great new beer, keep our wine list fresh and creative and always listen to your suggestions. Come see what’s new.

Summer food

Friday, July 6th, 2007

The strawberry shortcake wars have been delicious with a large variety of styles. The biggest variant seems to be in the style of the cake. My personal favorite was DB’s classic style with a dry, scone-like biscuit that complimented the moist sweet strawberry and whipped cream topping. With the varying degrees of sweetness and textures, it is amazing how many ways there are to present the delicious fresh strawberry. War can be tasty.

Sunday Live

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

Tonight was our first Sunday live music night and it was a huge success thanks to the talent of Dan Conrad. The night was warm, the patio was packed and Dan was fantastic. We will definitely have him back. Don’t worry, we will send you an email to let you know the details of upcoming shows with our email list. If you would like to be on the mailing list just go to our web site and sign up. Nice show Dan.
