We have recently began stocking up on new chocolate for the gift giving season - fantastic new bar choices and some cool new gift collections.

All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt!

Rotation

Thursday, October 19th, 2006

There seems to be two styles of dining guests. One loves to see what’s new and try it. The second wants to order the same favorite dish every time.

Our philosophy is no item on our menu is sacred. We will rotate all food off the menu and then back on for the sake of variety and seasonal freshness. This has a tendency to motivate letters of disapproval from guests who do not like it when we remove their favorite dish but it also creates elation when a favorite comes back.
Case in point, the pumpkin bread pudding dessert. We thought we might get a drive-by molotov when we took it off the menu last spring. Now, it’s back and thank you for your patience. Warm sweet spiced pumpkin filling, topped with crunchy bits of bread and drizzled with Yukon Jack sauce. Are you happy? Come have two or three.

Spinach is back

Monday, October 16th, 2006

One or our most popular salads, the spinach salad is back on the menu. The sound-bite media did not do justice to the reasons the USDA announced the recall because, well, you know, fear, not facts make for good news ratings. For the real spinach story check out this link. I love spinach salad.
